Medeja
Medeja (or Medea) of Greek mythology is a complex and tragic figure known for her powerful magic, intense emotions, and dramatic actions. The daughter of King Aeëtes of Colchis, she was a skilled sorceress who fell deeply in love with the hero Jason when he arrived in search of the Golden Fleece. Medea used her magic to help Jason complete difficult tasks and escape Colchis, sacrificing much in the process, including her ties to her homeland and family.
Their relationship eventually turned tragic. After years together, Jason abandoned Medea to marry Glauce, hoping to gain status and power. Betrayed and heartbroken, Medea sought revenge by using her powers to kill Glauce and, in many versions of the myth, their own children. Her story has been interpreted in many ways, portraying her as a dangerous femme fatale, a wronged woman, or a symbol of powerful love, grief, and vengeance.
